This role ensures the integrity, confidentiality, accessibility, and lawful use of patient health information while supporting clinical care, organizational performance, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Oversee medical records management, clinical coding, release of information, and documentation standardsEnsure timely, accurate, and complete health records across all care settingsEnsure compliance with accreditation standards and professional guidelinesLead, mentor, and develop HIM teamFoster an environment of continuous improvement and professional excellenceRequired Education and ExperienceAssociate's degree in Health Information Management, or Health Informatics requiredBachelor's degree preferredRHIA or RHIT certification requiredCoding experience/background a plusDemonstrated experience in a hospital or health system environmentProven leadership experience managing teams, budgets and systemsBenefitsMedical InsuranceDental/Vision InsuranceLife Insurance401KPaid time offIroquois Memorial Hospital and Resident Home is a vital rural healthcare provider serving all of Iroquois and portions of Ford, Livingston and Vermilion counties in Illinois, and Newton County in Indiana. The hospital also operates a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.
