Insurance Defense Attorney

Attorney Position

A well-regarded insurance defense law firm in Ashburn is looking for an attorney to join its litigation team. This is a chance to build your career defending insured clients in a supportive, collaborative setting. The hybrid schedule and an attractive bonus structure make it stand out.

What You'll Do

Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from intake through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery and other written work
Take and defend depositions, and attend hearings and mediations
Report case developments and strategy to insurance carriers and clients
Work closely with partners and support staff on case strategy

What You Bring

At least 1 year of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
Active Virginia bar admission required, with DC and Maryland admission a plus
Strong writing, research and case management skills

Compensation and Schedule/Benefits

Competitive base salary, depending on experience
A competitive bonus structure paid out monthly, quarterly and yearly
Hybrid work arrangement based in Fairfax, VA
