We are proud to have become a shining example of what's possible when the brightest professionals dedicate themselves to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and in people's lives.Work Shift: Day (United States of America)Schedule & Incentives:This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.This role can offer a competitive relocation assistance package for eligible candidatesA full-time position with a 40 hr weekday day shift scheduleBenefits program that includes PTO, mental health support, wellness rooms, concierge services and moreAccess to Wellstar's CareerCare program for fully funded education and guided career progressionPayWe offer competitive hourly pay with shift differential incentives.Job SummaryThe CT Technologist applies their expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Cobb HospitalTechnologists at Wellstar are respected clinical professionals and essential members of a collaborative care teamIf you're looking for a place where you're supported and where your well-being, career growth, and voice truly matter, you'll find it hereRequired QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited Radiologic Technology programExperienceMinimum 1 year experience in Radiology RequiredCertificationsARRT-R (Radiography)ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed TomographyBLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart AssociationCore ResponsibilitiesPerform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic imagesWork independently operating imaging or radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA)Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms or equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptlyObtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any examExplain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxietyEnsure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visitPerform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicablePosition patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicatedReview images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or correct as needed and release patients appropriatelyComplete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed)Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain and restock crash cart and life-support equipment as requiredOrganize daily workflows to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flowSupport operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and escalate issues to the supervisor.Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
