Overview Cheshire Public Schools is a K-12 school district with 1:1 devices for students and staff. We are seeking a Technology Assistant to provide a high level of support for these devices using various operating systems, e.g., Windows, ChromeOS, and iOS along with providing technical assistance to students and staff. Responsibilities Provide technology user support to staff and students, both onsite and remotely. Setup, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair school district PCs, Chromebooks, MAC/OS devices, iPads, Interactive Flat Panels, printers and other devices, ensuring reliability and availability. Software installation and troubleshooting. Assess, Prioritize, Respond to, Complete, and Follow up on technology work orders submitted through our online work order management system. As directed, learn/maintain software applications, e.g., Print Management, Data Security and Threat Prevention, Active Directory Users and Policy Management, Wifi Access, IP Phone System. Qualifications Strong knowledge and experience installing and troubleshooting computer and related equipment. Solid aptitude and passion for technology and its usage. Excellent oral communication, written communication, time-management and organizational skills. The ability to be a self-starter – self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to understand and support the software applications used by the district. Ability to relate to staff members and students in a courteous and effective manner. Understanding the integration of technology into a classroom or IEP setting and providing the training/support to enhance that experience to improve teaching and learning. Supervised By Receives direction from the Supervisor of Technology Support Services, Director of Technology Services and/or the Chief Operating Officer. Salary This is a twelve month position consisting of 35 hours per week.
