CMM Programmer

Job Summary
Insight Global is seeking a CMM Programmer to join their client's team in Greenville, SC. This role focuses heavily on CMM programming and support, utilizing PC-DMIS to generate, validate, and maintain inspection programs. The engineer will support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting issues, improving quality processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position plays a key role in driving process improvements across safety, quality, delivery, and cost in a fast-paced gas turbine manufacturing environment.


Job Responsibilities
• Generate, maintain, and verify CMM programs using PC-DMIS (v. 2025.1)
• Program parts following established standards and Product Quality Plans
• Manipulate CAD models using Siemens NX to support programming needs
• Validate CMM programs through prove-outs and result verification
• Set up, configure, and troubleshoot CMM hardware and software
• Provide CMM-related support to Manufacturing Engineers and train operators
• Deliver day-to-day troubleshooting and support on the production floor
• Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
• Develop and maintain workstation instructions for CMM processes
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
• Adapt quickly and drive positive change in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have Skillsets:
• 3+ years of experience with off-line PC-DMIS programming
• Experience generating and validating CMM programs
• Strong understanding of Product Quality Plans and inspection standards
• Experience supporting shop floor manufacturing operations
• Ability to troubleshoot CMM equipment and processes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
• Ability to work 2nd shift
• Experience in gas turbine or heavy manufacturing environments
• Background in process improvement or Lean initiatives
• Experience training operators or leading initiatives on the shop floor
