Description Dishwasher Canaan, CT About The Position: Mountainside Treatment Center is seeking a Dishwasher/Kitchen Staff to work in harmony with all members of the food service team while maintaining and assisting in various aspects of the kitchen. As a member of the food services team, the Kitchen Staff’s duties include various kitchen maintenance, as well as keeping the dining / kitchen clean and organized. Schedule: Per Diem, As needed with availability to work the following shifts: 7:00am - 3:30pm, 9:00am - 5:30pm, or 11:00am - 7:30pm Your Role: Performing kitchen maintenance: emptying the trash, sweeping and mopping floors and washing dishes Clear plates and run commercial dishwasher, return dishes to correct locations Clear and set dining room Food preparation, chopping vegetables, making salads and putting together entrees as needed Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager at any time To assist and share in other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or their representative Qualifications: Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays Professional communication skills required To be teachable as well as flexible to day to day needs/demands of the kitchen Some kitchen experience helpful, but not required Compensation: The base salary for the position is $18.00 to $19.50 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
