Job Title: Certified Guidewire Policy Center INTEGRATION Developers

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on configuration and integrations with Guidewire’s including but not limited to PolicyCenter
• Be involved in designing and building capabilities/services in a continuous delivery model on a Guidewire cloud software as a service platform.
• Partner with leads and architects to help establish a technical vision and deliver innovative capabilities which are consistent, maintainable, and highly scalable for various commerce experiences.
• Work within a microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful APIs using Java.
• Work in distributed/cloud-based environments.
• Use data structures, algorithms, and architecture patterns.
• Define solutions, provide estimates on effort and risk, and evaluate technical feasibility.
• Use modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests.
• Practice full DevOps to ensure a culture of testing and releasing software on Amazon Web Services continuously using automation and monitoring.
• Experience with data storage designed for security, reliability, availability, maintainability, and performance.
• Deliver software in a Scrum of other agile development processes/methodologies.
• Perform technical code reviews and pair programming.
• Partner with other teams to ensure the service ecosystem is loosely coupled and scalable.
• Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.)
• Lives into cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.)
• Travels as needed for the role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings
• Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc.

Requirements:

• Existing associate or above certifications in Guidewire InsuranceSuite products (PolicyCenter); with aspirations to achieve professional certification
• PolicyCenter (PC) configuration
• Product model design
• Experience: 5-8 years of overall progressive experience in software engineering
• Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the US
• Guidewire Insurance Suite experience, including Guidewire Development, Guidewire Product Implementations, Guidewire InsuranceSuite Products, Guidewire PolicyCenter, Guidewire ClaimCenter, Guidewire BillingCenter, Guidewire LOB (Umbrella, General Liability), Guidewire Studio, GOSU Scripting
• Must be highly competent in these technology areas: Java, Javascript, and SQL
• Possess deep knowledge of and experience with Guidewire’s InsuranceSuite products
• Java/J2EE, Python or NodeJS
• REST Webservices
• Good verbal and written communication
• Ability to express complex technical concepts in terms less technical people can understand
