ProSidian clients represent a broad spectrum of industries to include but are not limited to Energy, Manufacturing, Chemical, Retail, Healthcare, Telecommunications, Hospitality, Pharmaceuticals, Banking & Financial Services, Transportation, Federal and State Government Agencies.Job DescriptionProSidian Seeks a OHS Project Specialist - Family and Customer Services Project Specialist headquartered near Washington, DC to support an engagement for an office within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) of the United States Government concerned with providing comprehensive child development services to low-income children ages birth to five years, help young children and their families to develop early reading, math, and social development skills needed to be successful in school. Office of Head Start programs promote school readiness by enhancing the cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social, and other services to enrolled children and their families.The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to provide planning, development, and implementation of a variety of initiatives, programs, and tasks aligned with the mission and goals of the Office of Head Start.OHS Project Specialist - Family and Customer Services Project Specialist Candidates shall work to support requirements for Management And Technical Crosscutting Activities (Time And Materials (T&M)) [For Activities Related To General And Cross-Cutting Support] and Provide high-level support to the team in the areas of child development, education, nutrition, health, social services, and/or related family services. The Project Specialist will also support planning initiatives, provide practical knowledge of specialized tasks, and provide advice and consultation on issues pertaining to the areas mentioned above.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Perform complex and confidential functions in support of Senior Management to ensure that operations flow smoothly;Assist division director with planning, development, preparation of priorities and special projects;Work closely with the Director's team on executive-level projects and priorities;Provide direction and information to employees and supervisors on specific situations that may arise.;Provide consulting services to the OHS.Support the coordination of content development regarding OHS policies.Support the design and development of new or additional services to be utilized by the OHS.Assist with policy and regulation development.Work with fellow team members to analyze and improve initiatives to support the mission and goals of the OHS.QualificationsThe OHS Project Specialist - Family and Customer Services Project Specialist shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.Associate degree or H.S. diploma and at least 3 years of relevant experience.Problem solving and initiative taking skillsExcellent writing and editing skills;The ability to prepare and deliver presentations;The ability to work with a large team.Proficiency in MS Office;Demonstrated experience working independently with minimal supervision and interest and commitment to international development.TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.LOCATION: Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Washington, DCU.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States CitizenExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" (also referred to as an "Employment Authorization") by the USG's designated Security Office. The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, and proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio with the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
