Job Description

Job Summary:

The Cardiovascular Technologist specializes in invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures, supporting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, including pacing device placements and circulatory support. This role ensures precise equipment operation and patient care in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize equipment and sterile trays for each procedure.
• Assist with patient positioning, monitoring setup, and vascular access.
• Calibrate and test transducers and hemodynamic monitoring devices.
• Support physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including pacemaker placements.
• Operate power injectors and fluoroscopy equipment as needed.
• Maintain clinical standards for digital imaging, hemodynamic data, and equipment safety.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited cardiovascular technologist or radiologic technologist program.
• Possess 1-2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or invasive procedure area.
• Hold AHA BLS, ACLS, and RCIS certifications or equivalent within one year.
• Demonstrate proficiency in sterile techniques, hemodynamic monitoring, and equipment calibration.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret cardiac arrhythmias.
