Reporting to the Controller, this individual will play a key role in ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and supporting various aspects of the accounting cycle. This role offers a great opportunity to grow within a dynamic and supportive environment.Key Roles / Responsibilities:Maintain general ledger accounts ensuring accurate cost and account codingReconcile intercompany accounts and investments in subsidiariesAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processesPost deposits and other cash transactions accurately and timelyTrack and report job costs across multiple projects, including purchase orders and change ordersAssist in monitoring and updating project budgets and forecastsPrepare month-end journal entries including payroll, interest, expense, and revenue accrualsPrepare and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accountsMaintain fixed asset schedules and process monthly depreciation entriesSupport the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reportsAssist with internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to internal controls and company policiesRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field3+ years of relevant accounting experienceStrong proficiency in accounting and financial principlesCommercial Real Estate experience preferredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong general computer skillsWorking Conditions:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.Moves throughout the building to access files.Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
