Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse - $1740 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. If clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Required Skills/Experience: 1 previous travel assignment required. Travelers will be held strictly accountable for alarm management.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending.

Special Requests: Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure.

Unit Details: Overflow MICU/SICU with general SICU, MICU overflow, Neuro ICU overflow, vascular overflow, trauma overflow, and thoracic overflow patient populations. Procedures include EGD, bronch, Swann, and traction.

Shift & Scheduling: Variable day/night 3x12 shifts: 07:00-19:30 or 19:00-07:30. Every other weekend. Holidays as needed. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.

Floating Requirements: May be assigned to MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC units, and ED/PACU to care for ICU/IMC boarders across the house.

7 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
