Reservoir Engineering Technician

This growing energy firm is looking for an Reservoir Engineering Technician to join their team in Houston. This role offers the chance to work in a flat organization where your contributions are visible and you'll gain broad exposure to multiple projects across the portfolio. The schedule includes four days onsite and one day remote each week.



What You'll Do


• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot reserves databases to support multiple projects.


• Serve as the administrator for decline analysis software, supporting production forecasts and economics.


• Coordinate data from internal and external systems to provide accurate and timely information to the Reserves Team.


• Perform ongoing research and analysis to keep reserves systems current, enabling reliable reserves assessments and economic evaluations.


• Partner closely with engineers to develop an understanding of assets and operations while addressing business needs.


• Streamline workflows and improve data accuracy by implementing automation tools such as macros, scripts, or other innovative solutions.


• Prepare and deliver clear technical reports and presentations.


What We're Looking For


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.


• 5+ years of experience as a Reservoir Engineering Technician or in a similar technical role.


• Proficiency with engineering and database software such as ARIES, ComboCurve, Enverus/Drilling Info, Spotfire, SQL, or Access.


• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and collaborate effectively across teams.
