Project Coordinator

Our client, a highly regulated financial services organization, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support enterprise project and portfolio management initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with Jira. Experience supporting projects within a regulated environment is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Project Managers and PMO leadership in planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects.
Maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
Create and update project records, dashboards, status reports, and executive-level presentations.
Coordinate meetings, document decisions, track follow-up actions, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
Administer and maintain project data within Planview or similar PPM platforms.
Utilize Jira and Confluence to monitor project progress, track work items, and maintain project documentation.
Monitor project health metrics and escalate schedule, budget, resource, or risk concerns when appropriate.
Support demand management, project intake, portfolio reporting, and governance processes.
Assist with project audits, regulatory reviews, compliance activities, and documentation requests.
Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, templates, and governance standards.
Generate reporting and analytics to support portfolio and executive decision making.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline.
2+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Analyst, PMO Analyst, or similar role.
Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects in a structured PMO environment.
Hands-on experience with Planview, Clarity, ServiceNow PPM, Microsoft Project, or similar Portfolio/Project Management tools .
Strong experience utilizing Jira and Confluence for Agile project delivery and tracking.
