Structural Engineer

job summary:
Our client is seeking a Structural Engineer to join a collaborative team dedicated to solving complex global challenges. This hybrid/remote position is open to candidates based in the U.S. Northeast region (CT, IA, IL, IN, MA, ME, MI, MN, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SD, VT, WI) and may require working from home or out of the nearest local office. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, an EIT certification, and bring at least two years of design experience to the role.

responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures under general supervision, applying US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop design concepts and communicate structural requirements on documents and in the project model.

• Develop structural engineering judgment and problem-solving skills to safely apply lateral design principles, including wind and seismic provisions.

• Maintain rigorous quality control by meticulously checking your own calculations and performing peer checks on other engineers' work.

• Take full ownership of assigned scopes, proactively managing your workload to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
