Daily work involves coordinating with schedulers, technologists, and radiologists to prioritize exams, maintain an efficient workflow, and minimize patient wait times. The typical day may include a mix of neuro, musculoskeletal, body, spine, and vascular MRI studies, with potential for contrast-enhanced examinations and specialized procedures based on department needs. You will utilize Siemens MRI systems to acquire high-quality diagnostic images, adjusting techniques as needed for patient habitus, clinical indications, and physician preferences. Accurate documentation in the EMR, timely image transfer to PACS, and clear communication of any exam-related concerns are critical aspects of the role. Patient volumes and ratios are structured to promote safe and thorough patient care, with attention to adequate preparation time, screening, and post-exam follow-up.
