Job Description
The Freight Forwarder - Business Development Director plays a crucial role in expanding the company's logistics services by managing client relationships and driving new business growth. This individual will oversee a small team, navigating medium-term sales cycles across local, regional, national, and international markets. Occasional travel is expected to foster strong client partnerships and explore emerging market opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Develop and execute strategies for new business acquisition
- Coordinate logistics operations to support client needs
- Apply transportation and warehousing knowledge to optimize service delivery
- Collaborate with a small team to achieve business development goals
- Navigate medium-term sales cycles effectively
- Engage with diverse geographic markets from local to international levels
- Travel to meet clients and attend relevant industry events
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding business development
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Expertise in freight forwarding and logistics industry
- Strong background in business development and sales strategy
- Skilled in market analysis to identify growth opportunities
