About the Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on Marketing Automation Specialist to drive CRM activation, lifecycle marketing, and automated customer engagement for a growing B2B/B2C organization. This role is ideal for a marketing automation professional who knows how to turn customer data, audience insights, and business objectives into targeted, personalized campaigns that drive engagement, conversion, and retention.

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and experience building and optimizing automated customer journeys across the customer lifecycle. You will play a key role in executing CRM campaigns, developing automated workflows, and improving marketing performance through segmentation, personalization, and data-driven optimization.

Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, home improvement, building products, or another organization serving both business and consumer audiences is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

CRM Campaigns & Marketing Automation

• Build, configure, test, and deploy CRM campaigns and automated marketing workflows using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
• Execute email campaigns and automated communications that support customer acquisition, onboarding, engagement, conversion, retention, and reactivation.
• Manage campaign setup, audience selection, segmentation, scheduling, triggers, and quality assurance to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot campaign and automation issues while collaborating with technical and data teams as needed.

Lifecycle Marketing & Customer Journey Activation

• Develop and execute automated customer journeys aligned with key lifecycle stages and business objectives.
• Translate marketing strategies into actionable CRM programs, including welcome and onboarding journeys, lead nurturing, customer engagement, re-engagement, and retention campaigns.
• Build personalized communications based on customer behavior, preferences, engagement history, and audience characteristics.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer experiences through journey orchestration, triggered communications, and relevant content delivery.

Segmentation, Personalization & Data Activation

• Partner with marketing, sales, and data stakeholders to activate customer and prospect data for targeted CRM campaigns.
• Develop audience segments and personalization strategies that support both B2B and B2C marketing objectives.
• Leverage customer data, behavioral insights, and engagement signals to deliver relevant communications throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Help maintain reliable data flows, audience lists, and automation processes within SFMC.

Campaign Content & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate the development and deployment of CRM content, including email copy, creative assets, campaign briefs, and audience-specific variations.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, creative, product, and external agency partners to ensure campaigns align with brand standards and business priorities.
• Adapt campaign messaging and activation strategies for different audiences, markets, products, and customer segments.
• Establish reusable campaign templates, journey frameworks, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency.

Performance Measurement & Optimization

• Monitor campaign and customer journey performance using KPIs such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, engagement, and revenue contribution.
• Conduct A/B testing and ongoing experimentation to improve campaign effectiveness.
• Analyze results and customer behavior to identify opportunities for optimization across messaging, timing, segmentation, and journey logic.
• Develop performance reports and actionable recommendations to continuously improve CRM engagement and marketing ROI.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in marketing automation, CRM campaign activation, lifecycle marketing, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) , including building, executing, testing, and optimizing campaigns and automated customer journeys.
• Demonstrated experience activating CRM data to deliver lifecycle marketing programs, triggered communications, lead nurturing, or customer engagement campaigns.
• Strong understanding of audience segmentation, personalization, campaign workflows, automation logic, and customer journey orchestration.
• Experience supporting both B2B and B2C audiences, ideally within a business with diverse customer segments and buying journeys.
• Ability to interpret campaign performance data and translate findings into actionable optimization strategies.
• Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and quality-control skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across marketing, sales, technical teams, and external partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, home improvement, building products, distribution, or a related industry.
• Experience with complex customer journeys involving multiple audiences, buying cycles, or indirect distribution channels.
• Familiarity with CRM data structures, database management, and integrations between marketing automation and CRM platforms.
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools such as Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and SQL.
• Exposure to SMS marketing, omnichannel campaigns, or additional marketing automation platforms. xhyhwjd
