Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients that are goal-oriented and personalized to address their specific needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring best practices are applied throughout the treatment process.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, potential treatments, and effective self-care strategies, fostering a deeper understanding of mental health and wellness.
• Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups, adapting treatment strategies as needed to enhance effectiveness and outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to coordinate integrated treatment efforts, ensuring clients receive comprehensive care.
• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatments, implementing contemporary evidence-based practices in your clinical work.
• Maintain detailed and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to state and federal regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality.
• Participate in professional development activities, case consultations, and team meetings to continuously refine clinical skills and enhance knowledge.
• Act as an advocate for clients, working to de-stigmatize mood disorders and promote mental health awareness in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Your experience and expertise will be crucial in creating a therapeutic atmosphere that empowers clients to confront their challenges and improve their mental health statuses. Emphasizing a tailored approach, you will ensure that each client feels valued, understood, and supported on their journey toward healing.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Psychologist in the state of Washington.
• Strong proficiency in evidence-based treatment methods for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT, with a proven ability to apply these techniques effectively in a clinical setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds, promoting an inclusive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated history of achieving positive outcomes in treating mood disorders and extensive experience working with clients in an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with psychopharmacology principles and experience collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to manage holistic patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
