Registered Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Location: Lone Tree, CO

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 6 PM to 6 AM

Job Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will be responsible for providing respiratory therapy services within a 240-bed facility. The therapist will work collaboratively with a team of 15 RT staff, ensuring a minimum staffing of 3 on each night shift. Key duties include administering treatments, ventilator setup, assisting with intubation, performing arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, and patient and staff education. The RRT will play a vital role in the care of patients in critical areas such as ICU, NICU, ED, PEDS, and MED SURG.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy and treatment services.
• Set up ventilators and assist with intubations as needed.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) tests and interpret results.
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory therapy procedures.
• Participate in the therapy and ventilator liberation processes in the NICU and ICU.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 6 months current acute care hospital RRT experience.
• Must hold current BLS, ACLS, NRP & PALS certifications.
• CRT or NBRC certification is preferred.
• Experience with Meditech EMR is an advantage.
• Pediatric ICU (PICU) and Neonatal ICU (NICU) experience is a plus.
