Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Number of Beds: 30 Patient Ratio: 5-6 : 1 Unit staff: Unit clerk on days, 2-3 PCTs day & night, Nursing Supervisor, Hospitalists Equipment: Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry and MP2’s Documentation system: Meditech-HCA version Medications: WOW with med drawers, PyxisES dispensing system Scheduling: equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts/4-week schedule) Floating policy: other M/S areas: general MS, Ortho, PCU (Progressive Care Unit), M/S surgical w oncology. We rotate unless skill mix is needed. Patient Experience: Bedside Rounding, Hourly Rounding with 5P’s checked. Reporting to PCT’s of known needs at beginning and during shifts, Check glass board for dept focus areas, Scrolling video kiosk available as well as email for update references.
