Children's Rental Shop Lead 2026/27

The Children's Rental Area Lead is responsible for overseeing daily rental operations in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional guest service to children, families, and resort guests. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized individual with a strong sense of urgency and a passion for skiing or snowboarding. Responsibilities include proper boot and helmet fitting, ski and snowboard binding adjustment and documentation, equipment waxing and tuning, and supervising rental staff. The successful candidate will be an outgoing, dependable team player with strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the flexibility to assist wherever needed. At Cranmore, teamwork, initiative, and creating memorable guest experiences are key to success in this role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversee the rental area downstairs in the Karen Dolan Learning Center. Fit boots and skis/snowboards to customers using high degree of guest services. Pass the binding manufacturer training course. Follow all accepted worker and guest safety policies and practices. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Handle complaints from customers and employees. Manage a small group of employees. Keep Rental shop clean and organized (gear, paperwork, mats, benches) Flexible working hours. Some job sharing may be required. Ability to handle a fast paced work environment. RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Cranmore Mountain Resort guests and assets at all times. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of you or others. Drive in accordance with the law and Cranmore Mountain Resort policies. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position supervises and operates the rental area in the lower level of the Karen Dolan Learning Center. You will oversee 3-5 rental employees as well as oversee the work of additional helpers that are sent to rentals by the Snowsports School on busy days (Snowsports Instructors). You will handle the schedule, routine cleaning, ski/board maintenance, paperwork, etc. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Once hired you will need to complete the binding manufacturers training course to be a certified binding technician. #J-18808-Ljbffr CM Resort, LLC
