Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122-bed, general acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut, that serves as a regional health care resource for the 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. CHH offers personalized attention from an expert team of caregivers and physicians that utilize advanced technology and clinical partnerships in a convenient, safe and comfortable patient environment.

Responsible for both clinical and administrative areas including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinical services. May be assigned to specific medical specialty department. The Hearing Instrument Specialist conducts hearing assessments for the purpose of fitting and dispensing hearing aids. Provides ongoing support and education to patients in collaboration with clinical staff.

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Audiology, Hearing Instrument Science preferred 1 year of experience in an ENT or Audiology practice required, 2+ years of experience in an ENT or Audiology practice preferred Connecticut Hearing Instrument Specialist license required Certification from the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences (NBC-HIS) is preferred.
