A Nurse Manager of Med-Surg is needed at a 99-bed acute-care facility in Irving, TX — a full-service hospital holding designations that include a Level III Trauma Center (American College of Surgeons), Certified Primary Stroke Center (The Joint Commission), Certified Total Hip and Knee Replacement program (The Joint Commission), Accreditation for Bariatric Surgery (MBSAQIP), Level II Maternal Care Center (Texas Health and Human Services), and a Level II NICU program (Texas Health and Human Services).

The role. The Nurse Manager holds 24/7 accountability for all departmental functions, ensuring that operations remain aligned with business trends while balancing patient care, staffing, and financial stewardship. Day-to-day responsibilities encompass payroll, hiring, scheduling, orientation, and competency validation for both new and existing staff, as well as annual evaluations, counseling, and mentoring. The manager also cultivates effective working relationships across patients, families, physicians, peers, and other departments to drive organizational goals forward.

What we're looking for.

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required
• Texas State RN or RN Compact License acceptable under eNLC guidelines
• Previous recent Department Director or Manager experience required; will also consider a strong Charge Nurse Coordinator (CNC) looking to step into a Manager role
• Minimum of 2+ years of recent acute care Med/Surg experience required

Schedule. Full-time, day shift, no weekends.

Compensation. $40.79 - $61.19/hr plus $15,000 sign-on bonus
