Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar student support role within an educational environment
• Familiarity with classroom management strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with teachers, students, and support staff
• Positive, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or a related field preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing learning objectives
• Monitor student progress, behaviors, and participation, documenting observations as needed
• Support students with assignments, activities, and personal needs to promote independence and confidence
• Implement accommodations and modifications outlined in student IEPs under supervision
• Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom atmosphere
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
