$140,000 – $190,000 base (commensurate with experience) + discretionary bonus About the Opportunity: We are partnering with a growing, founder-led professional services organization based in Baltimore that is seeking a strategic, hands-on Controller to lead finance and accounting operations. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to executive leadership, with meaningful visibility and influence across the business. The ideal candidate enjoys building structure, improving systems, and partnering closely with leadership as the company scales. Responsibilities Include: Serve as the senior finance leader, partnering closely with executive leadership Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term planning Help evaluate and implement more scalable financial systems as the company grows Oversee all accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, payroll, close) Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP Prepare monthly financial packages, variance analysis, and executive-level reporting Manage year-end close and coordinate with external accounting partners Own and optimize QuickBooks Strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures Improve billing, reconciliation, and reporting processes Develop dashboards and KPIs for leadership visibility Lead and mentor AP/AR staff Drive accountability, process consistency, and professional development Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred) 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience Prior experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader in a service-based business Strong leadership presence with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset Experience improving systems and processes in a growing organization Why This Role: High visibility with executive leadership Strong compensation and benefits Hybrid schedule with remote Fridays Stable, growing organization with long-term upside Opportunity to truly own and shape the finance function Apply directly here or message me if you’d like to learn more. #J-18808-Ljbffr Legacy Search Advisors
