Your Job

Georgia-Pacific is now hiring Forklift Operator to join our corrugated sheet feeder facility in Batavia, NY ! At our corrugated sheet feeder plant we manufacture and supply high-quality corrugated sheets used to produce packaging and shipping containers for a wide range of industries.

Pay:

• $24.00 per hour
• 3rd Shift Differential - ($1.50) One dollar and fifty cents per hour = $25.50
• You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.

Shift:

• Currently hiring for 2nd shift only.
• The first (2-4) weeks of orientation will be on 1st shift (7am - 3pm) , then you will be assigned to your shift after your orientation.
• This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Shift Hours:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Starts Monday night)
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

What You Will Do

• Operate a 10,000 lb. sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers
• Ensure accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipments
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards
• Pull whip and raw material for production support
• Verify receipts, load sheets, and other required paperwork

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* One (1) year of experience operating a forklift, clamp truck, or other similar type of equipment.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
• Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry
