Position OverviewDelivering an exceptional shopping experience that fosters customer loyalty and satisfaction. We strive to provide a welcoming and knowledgeable environment where every customer feels valued and empowered to make informed purchasing decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate the Retail Pro point-of-sale (register) systemProcess sales, including cash & credit card transactionsRestock inventoryProvide camp information and directions to guests' questionsProvide a friendly and enthusiastic environment with a genuine interest in our guestsReduce inventory shrinkage with diligent stock management and loss prevention strategiesModel the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactionsMaintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work areaPerform additional duties assigned by SBR leadershipAbide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbookQualificationsMinimum age: 18+General computer skillsWilling to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communicationPhysical & Practical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 40 poundsComplete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelinesHousing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55Desired TraitsHigh emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focusAdaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skillsAbility to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
