Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, adult and pediatric emergency department. This role requires adaptability, extensive clinical experience, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions through effective triage and clinical evaluation.
• Administer treatments, medication, and therapies in accordance with established protocols.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including starting IVs and phlebotomy procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical records systems.
• Float to sister ED and other campuses as needed, maintaining flexibility and clinical consistency.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.
• Possess valid BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS certification; TNCC preferred.
• Demonstrate experience in adult and pediatric ER settings, with proficiency in dysrhythmia management.
• Have current EPIC EMR experience; Cerner knowledge considered a plus.
• Be able to pass a comprehensive EKG exam (2 attempts allowed).
• Show ability to respond effectively to emergencies and adapt to various clinical environments.
