Job Description CMI General Contractors is seeking an experienced Healthcare Construction Superintendent to join our team. Duties and Responsibilities As a Healthcare Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for but not limited to: Overseeing all stages of project life cycle and ensuring that projects are completed within time and budget constraints. Enforces corporate safety policies on jobsites, including pre-task safety planning and providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field. Specifically in Infection Control. Coordinating and supervising construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards. Collaborating with architects and engineers to determine the best construction methods and strategies. Reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications, ensuring that all work is carried out according to the design. Resolving any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines. Conducting regular meetings with project stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns. Managing project documentation, including construction plans, safety records, and progress reports. Meeting and/or exceeding project schedules and timelines. Qualifications A minimum of five (5) years prior experience and a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field OR a minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field can be considered for this position. OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 desired. Proficiency with hospital construction standards including ICRA. CPR/First Aid certified desired. Demonstrable knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety guidelines. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team of professionals. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively. Proficiency in using construction management software and tools, ProCore desired. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with owners and sub-contractors. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various construction sites as required. Carpentry skills would be considered an asset. Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, and sitting for long periods, and lifting 50 pounds.
