Summary:
The Physician provides comprehensive medical care to patients within the Rural Health Clinic (RHC) and supports the overall mission of the Seminole Hospital District. The Physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses, promoting preventive care, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered services. This role collaborates with clinical and administrative staff to enhance care delivery, improve patient outcomes, and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
· Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
· Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records in accordance with facility policies.
· Promote preventive health measures and patient education.
· Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
· Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinic performance.
· Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.
· Support clinic operations, including workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction efforts.
· Participate in on-call coverage as required.
· Maintain current medical knowledge through continuing education and professional development.
· Foster positive relationships with patients, families, staff, and the community.
· Assist in implementing clinical protocols and best practices.
Requirements:Education and Experience Requirements
· Medical degree and board certification in family medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, or occupational health
· License to practice medicine
· Ten (10) or more years’ experience in clinical medicine.
· Five (5) or more years’ experience in hospital administration.

Supervisory Responsibility:
May provide oversight and collaboration with nursing staff, medical assistants, and advanced practice providers; however, this role does not typically include direct administrative supervision.
