Responsibilities Support anesthesia and surgical teams by gathering, preparing, and organizing equipment and supplies needed for patient care. Set up, test, and troubleshoot anesthesia machines and related systems to ensure safe, reliable, and fully functional operation. Perform routine cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of anesthesia equipment in alignment with infection control standards and manufacturer guidelines. Assistoperating room staff with patient care activities under RN supervision, including transport and room turnover. Maintainaccurateinventory levels by stocking, rotating, and ordering anesthesia and OR supplies to support continuous operations. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair requests with Clinical Engineering and ensuretimelyresolution of issues. Conduct functional testing and safety checks on anesthesia equipment to ensure compliance and patient safety. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment, including proper handling and disposal of infectious and hazardous materials. Support efficient OR workflow by responding to real-time needs of anesthesia and surgical teams. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma/GEDor equivalentrequired. EMT or Certified Surg Tech or LPN required. Experience: One (1) year of hospital experience is preferred. License(s)/Certification(s): Mustpossessand maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationthrough the American Heart Associationrequiredwithin90 daysof hire. IL & IA Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire.
