Lead AEM Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead AEM Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale digital experience solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership skills, deep expertise in AEM architecture, and the ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performing digital platforms. This role will be responsible for driving solution architecture, development best practices, platform governance, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Define and enforce AEM development standards, coding practices, and platform governance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AEM developers and cross-functional teams.
• Design and implement reusable AEM components, templates, workflows, and content models.
• Oversee integration of AEM with Adobe Experience Cloud products and third-party systems.
• Review solution designs, code quality, security standards, and performance optimization strategies.
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and reliability of AEM platforms.
• Support deployment activities, release planning, and production issue resolution.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
• Participate in architecture reviews and recommend improvements to digital experience platforms.
• Drive best practices for content management, personalization, and customer experience delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on AEM experience.
• Strong expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x/AEM as a Cloud Service).
• Experience with AEM Sites, Components, Templates, Workflows, Content Fragments, and Experience Fragments.
• Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, OSGi, Apache Sling, and JCR.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of AEM architecture, security, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Adobe Cloud.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud products including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and Adobe Campaign.
• Experience implementing AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, or Angular.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Adobe AEM Architect or Developer certifications.

Nice to Have

• Experience leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of headless CMS architecture and GraphQL.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
