Shift Type:  Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours guaranteed; weekend and on-call schedule to be determined by facility

Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess the health status of patients and establish nursing diagnoses
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for obstetrical patients including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
• Provide family-centered care in a single-room maternity care setting
• Assist with cesarean births and recovery within the Birthing Center
• Perform newborn stabilization and normal newborn care
• Document and evaluate patient responses to interventions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• 1+ years of current LDRP experience required (400+ deliveries per year preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Vermont required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with C-sections, epidurals, electronic charting, and venipuncture preferred
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE certifications highly preferred (can be obtained during onboarding)
• Travel experience highly preferred
