This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations within a retail grocery distribution environment. The Deli / JIT Manager will lead warehouse teams, drive productivity, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and maintain high levels of customer service through accurate, on-time order fulfillment. Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $33.80/hour, paid weekly
• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
• Full time schedule
• Located in Roseville, CA

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
• Lead warehouse associates to meet safety, quality, productivity, and service goals
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards throughout the facility
• Schedule staffing to support a seven-day operation while managing labor costs and overtime
• Conduct daily startup and shift turnover meetings to communicate workload, priorities, and safety topics
• Monitor inbound and outbound volumes and ensure timely shipment completion
• Coordinate with transportation and yard personnel to support efficient trailer movement and loading
• Ensure products are accurately received, stored, and shipped
• Communicate operational updates and shipment status with internal departments
• Monitor warehouse productivity, fill rates, and inventory accuracy
• Control product damage and improve warehouse quality through training and accountability
• Conduct employee coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed
• Review employee timecards and support payroll accuracy
• Develop team members and warehouse leads through ongoing coaching and training
• Assist in managing warehouse performance metrics, including cost per case, on-time shipments, fill rates, and OSHA safety performance
• Enforce all company policies, food safety requirements, and operational procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution leadership experience required
• Experience supervising teams in a grocery, food distribution, or high-volume warehouse environment preferred
• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operation
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory control, and transportation coordination
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems preferred
• Commitment to workplace safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement
