Information Technology Specialist

Job TitleDutiesIf selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing technical and analytical assistance for information technology. Typical work assignments will include:Providing customer support services and technical advice to others.Providing database administration support for various applications.Configures, installs, and maintains of networked systems using network standards and protocols, and capabilities and applications of network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, and related hardware.Managing accounts, network rights and access to systems and equipment.Performing ongoing network monitoring and management, including diagnosis of recurring network problems and service interruptions.Developing and providing training to meet the District's needs.Implementing policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks and data.Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
