This position is for operating room nursing within a busy surgical unit. The shift consists of 10 hours, with a start time of 6:45 AM. The nurse will be required to work weekends at least once a month. On-call duty is required once per week, though the frequency may vary. The nurse will collaborate with various service lines, excluding cardiovascular surgery. The role involves the management of patients across multiple demographics, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates must possess up-to-date skills in operating room protocols, infection control, and specimen handling. Experience with specific surgical procedures is critical for success in this role. Comprehensive knowledge of the equipment and safety protocols used in the operating room is essential. All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by management. Local candidates are not eligible; applicants must reside outside a designated distance from the facility. Candidates must have an active state license or be in the process of obtaining one.
