PositionSummary AJGlassislookingforahighlyexperiencedandsolutiondrivenSeniorEstimatortoprovideleadershipacrosstheestimatingdepartment. Thisroleisdesignedforsomeonewiththeexpertisetooverseehigh-levelbidreviews,troubleshootproblemsinrealtime,andactasatrustedresourcetobothteammembersandmanagement. Ifyou'reconfidentunderpressure,comfortablenavigatingnegotiations,andcapableofmanagingadynamicbidcalendarwhilementoringothers,wewanttohearfromyou. WhatYou’llDo Finalreviewandapprovalofallestimates,budgets,andCORs-ensuringdepartment-wideconsistency,pricingaccuracy,andadherencetocompanystandards. Manageahighvolumeofbidswhilemaintainingprecisionandefficiency Leadorprovideinputoncomplexnegotiationsbypresentingcomplete,well-documentedproposals. Resolvecomplexbidissues,scopediscrepancies,andestimationerrorsincollaborationwithGCsandinternalteams Takeownershipofurgentestimatingneeds,includingquickturnaroundbudgetsandsalvagingtime-sensitivebidsinitiatedbyothers. Maintainandadjustthebidcalendartoreflectshiftingpriorities,resourceavailability,andprojecturgency. Providestrategicinputwithestimatingdecisions,includingdeterminingwhichopportunitiestopursue. Analyzehistoricalpricingtoensurecurrentproposalsareaccurate,competitive,andalignedwithestablishedcosttrendsandmargingoals. Supportinternalteammembersbyansweringquestionsordirectingthemtotheappropriateresources. Meetharddeadlines-evenifitoccasionallyrequiresextendedworkinghours. WhatWe’reLookingFor 5+yearsofexperienceincommercialconstructionestimating,preferablywithafocusonglazingsystems. Bachelor’sdegreeinengineering,architecture,orconstructionmanagementisaplus,butwealsohighlyvaluehandsonexperience. Strongcommandofcurtainwall,storefront,thermalsystems,specialtyglass,andrelatedmaterials. Provenabilitytomanagecompetingprioritiesanddeliverhigh-qualityresultsunderpressure. Skilledinbidnegotiation,GCcommunication,andconflictresolution. Abilitytoleadthroughexamplewhileservingasaresourceandmentorforjuniorteammembers. Exceptionalorganizationalandtimemanagementskills-capableofmaintainingandadjustingafluidbidcalendar. ProficiencyinMicrosoftExcel,Outlook,Bluebeam,andfamiliaritywithplatformssuchasProcore. PhysicalRequirements Majorityofthepositionisperformedinanofficesetting,sittingorstandingatacomputerforextendedperiods. Abilitytoattendoccasionalsitevisitsandscheduledsitewalksonactiveconstructionsites,whichmayinvolvewalkingorstanding,limitedladderuse,andnormalworkingconditions.
