Growing Seasons Landscaping (GSL) is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Well Services Division in Canonsburg, PA. As a key member of our team, you will operate excavators, skid steers, and dozers to support pad construction, access road improvements, site restoration, and well site operations in oil & gas or heavy civil environments. GSL offers a strong safety culture, stable year-round work, and opportunities for growth within a specialized division. Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, skid steers, and dozers for pad construction, maintenance, trenching, backfilling, roadway and access improvements, and site restoration.
- Perform finish grading and maintain precise elevations based on project plans and field direction.
- Work on active and reclaimed well sites while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections, greasing, and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with foremen and crew members to execute daily work plans efficiently.
- Assist ground crew as needed to maintain productivity and workflow.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant jobsite at all times.
- Participate in daily safety meetings and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating excavators, skid steers, and dozers in oil & gas, utilities, heavy civil, or industrial construction environments.
- Proven ability to perform finish grading and maintain accurate elevations (not just rough grading).
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety, hazard awareness, and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Ability to climb on and off equipment multiple times per day and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with GPS machine control systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica, etc.) preferred.
- Experience working on well pads or pipeline projects preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
