Job specification

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients recovering from thoracic and vascular surgeries in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).
• Monitor and assess hemodynamic status, wound healing, and potential complications .
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and post-operative pain management following physician orders.
• Collaborate with surgeons, cardiologists, and vascular specialists to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical recovery, wound care, and lifestyle modifications .
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records while adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.
• Utilize critical thinking and rapid response skills in emergencies.

Candidate requirements

• Active RN license in Washington State (or eligibility for licensure).
• 1 year of experience in IMCU, vascular, or thoracic nursing preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong ability to assess complex conditions and respond effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary team.
