This part‑time role gives you a chance to join the behind‑the‑scenes heroes who ensure DPAC shines. You’ll be an essential member of our team, providing vital support for our facilities and events. At DPAC, you’ll find a fun and fast‑paced work environment where your contributions are vital to our success. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for live performances and is excited to contribute to our venue’s excellence—especially when most of the city is asleep! This position involves manual tasks, so we’re looking for someone who’s comfortable with physical work and can stay active throughout their shift. Punctuality and reliability are essential, as this role plays a key part in ensuring DPAC is ready for every performance and event. This is a morning shift with hours from 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday . What You’ll Do Pre-event Preparation: Setting up tables and chairs, verifying restroom cleanliness, unlocking doors, turning on lights, and conducting final building walkthroughs to ensure DPAC is ready to open its doors to the public. Supervision: Overseeing cleaning personnel to ensure thoroughness and prompt resolution of missed areas. Facility Maintenance: Performing routine cleaning and general maintenance tasks as required, providing immediate minor repairs, and reporting major repairs to your supervisor. Safety Standards: Ensuring compliance with safety and fire codes. Customer Service: Providing exceptional service to guests, assisting with inquiries and needs. What You’ll Bring Supervisory Experience: Leadership skills and team oversight experience preferred. Computer Competency: Basic level computer skills. Independence: Ability to work autonomously with initiative. Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication for reporting and interaction. Customer Service: Maintaining a neat, professional demeanor and upholding our exceptional customer service principles. Punctuality and Dependability: Showing up on time and ready to work every shift—your role is essential to getting the building event‑ready. Physical Requirements Ability to easily lift 30–50 pounds and engage in repetitive movements. Ability to walk extensively and climb stairs. May be exposed to adverse weather conditions. Additional Requirements Available for flexible hours, including overnight shifts, mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or GED. Reliable transportation to Durham, NC. Must be at least 18 years old. Legally able to work in the United States. Schedule Friday • Saturday • Sunday
