Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Description

This role focuses on end-to-end shipping, receiving, and inventory control for customer repairs, R&D items, and project materials in a busy, global logistics environment. You will receive and book-in inbound materials, pick, pack and ship outbound orders, maintain accurate stock records, and support internal teams by ensuring goods move efficiently and safely through the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound customer repairs and materials from global locations and ensure all deliveries are unloaded safely.
• Check incoming goods against delivery notes and purchase orders to confirm accuracy and completeness.
• Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and promptly escalate issues to Purchasing or Logistics.
• Process receipts and allocate stock using Oracle and MacPac ERP systems, ensuring accurate data entry.
• Store materials safely and accurately in designated locations to maintain an organised warehouse.
• Distribute customer repair items to the appropriate internal departments in a timely manner.
• Pick and pack customer repairs, R&D items and project materials in line with order requirements.
• Verify picks for accuracy and completeness before packing and dispatching.
• Prepare shipping documentation and export paperwork using Oracle and other shipping platforms.
• Coordinate with carriers, including FedEx, and support collections and loading activities.
• Prioritise urgent and time-sensitive shipments to meet customer expectations and service levels.
• Dispatch orders to customers and group companies with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and process stock transactions in the ERP systems.
• Conduct cycle counts and full stock checks to ensure inventory integrity.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, working with relevant teams as needed.
• Maintain organised stores areas for consumables and materials to support efficient operations.
• Use ERP systems, including EED EX and other tools, to receive, move, pick, ship and adjust stock.
• Generate and manage pick lists, labels, dispatch notes and shipping documents.
• File delivery notes and proof of delivery records accurately for audit and tracking purposes.
• Enter customer orders into the Oracle system in line with company procedures.
• Adhere to company health, safety and environmental policies at all times.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet trucks and forklifts, where trained and authorised.
• Follow safe manual handling practices as part of daily work activities.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, tidy and organised to support safety and efficiency.
• Report hazards and incidents via company systems to help maintain a safe working environment.
• Liaise with Service, R&D, Sales, Projects, Customer Support and Logistics teams to coordinate materials and repairs.
• Support group companies with repairs, shipments, imports and exports in a global logistics context.
• Help maintain high service levels and respond to shifting priorities in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to site initiatives and community projects that require warehouse and logistics support.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a warehouse or logistics role, ideally covering both goods-in and dispatch activities.
• Confidence using FedEx and other shipping platforms and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical, organised working style.
• Good communication skills with confidence interacting across multiple internal departments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once trained.
• Comfortable with manual handling as a regular part of daily work.
• Positive, proactive attitude and strong team ethic.
• Ability to work on-site in Worthing during the required hours.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence is desirable.
• Previous experience handling export documentation is an advantage.
• Experience supporting global logistics operations is beneficial.
• Forklift and material handling experience preferred.
• Comfort working with different shipping platforms, including FedEx.
• Exposure to electrical, mechanical, maintenance, construction or HVAC environments is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues related to materials and logistics processes.
• Experience with industrial sewing or material handling equipment is advantageous.
• Background in shipping and inventory control is beneficial.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role based in Worthing, working within a busy warehouse and logistics environment. You will operate in a growth-oriented setting that values self-starters who can identify projects, take initiative and work effectively amid some ambiguity. The work is active and hands-on, involving manual handling, use of pallet trucks and forklifts where trained, and regular interaction with ERP systems such as Oracle, MacPac and EED EX, as well as shipping platforms like FedEx. The warehouse is kept clean, tidy and organised, with a strong focus on health, safety and environmental standards. You collaborate closely with multiple internal teams and support global logistics activities in a fast-paced, dynamic facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
