Hours: 9:30PM - 6:00AM 5 Days per week (this may include weekends)

Direct Care Monitors are responsible for:

• Monitoring and observing clients, ensuring their safety and well-being, and providing motivational support and guidance to assist them in meeting therapeutic goals.
• Reporting client observations and contributing to treatment decisions concerning therapy, discipline, and privileges.
• Monitoring clients in medication self-administration, collecting urine samples from clients for laboratory screening and administering breathalyzer to clients for detection of alcohol use.
• Supporting treatment plans by scheduling and coordinating client transportation, assisting in planning client interactive events, and so forth.
• Providing security for the medical building.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Any and all work experience is encouraged to apply. Experience in corrections, security guard, security officer, home health aide (HHA), direct support professional (DSP), caregiver, or substance abuse counseling is a plus.
• Must be able to respectfully interact with substance abuse clients and form a working therapeutic alliance
• Valid driver's license in state of residence and good driving record required
• Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk or move about facilities for up to two hours at a time, to monitor and interact with clients.
• Ability to speak with others in order to exchange information and provide support.
• Ability to proofread and check documents and files for accuracy on a regular basis.
• Ability to respond to telephones and pages, and to hear and detect alarms and unusual noises.

Compensation Range: Starting payrate of $19.00 per hour Shift differential of an additional $.50 per hour while working 3rd shift Gateway Foundation conducts annual reviews including merit increases. Meals are provided for employees at this facility! Benefits at Gateway Foundation:
