Purchasing Coordinator – Drive Supply Chain Precision & Cost Efficiency

Job Overview

• Salary/Pay: $65,000 - $72,000+ per year, based on experience
• Location: Wauwatosa, WI.
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
• Schedule: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm M-F.
• Project Scope: Commercial Audio Visual Systems.
• Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

The Opportunity

You will serve as a vital link in our operations, taking full charge of vendor relationships, procurement logistics, and cost management for high-end audio visual installations. This role empowers you to negotiate high-value supply contracts and streamline purchasing workflows that directly impact company profitability. Working in a supportive team environment, you will help shape our procurement standards while building a long-term career on our path toward company ownership.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Assess vendor capabilities, evaluate performance metrics, and build strong relationships with trade contractors and suppliers.
• Negotiate competitive pricing, terms, and rebates with manufacturers to position the business in the most cost-effective standing.
• Analyze market trends and evaluate equipment lists to ensure all purchased items directly align with project scopes of work.
• Develop monthly spend budgets in coordination with Accounting to ensure company expenditure stays within defined limits.
• Issue purchase orders into business operating systems and process change order or box sale quotes promptly.
• Track shipment ETAs diligently, communicate progress updates, and resolve delivery variances to keep project timelines on schedule.
• Conduct value engineering analysis from schematic drawings to optimize system performance while reducing overall equipment costs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of dedicated professional purchasing and procurement experience.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a proven track record of managing supplier relationships.
• Deep proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and an aptitude for adopting specialized in-house business software.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Active familiarity with commercial audio visual products, technical designs, and construction management workflows.
• Hands-on experience with industry-specific software tools such as Q360 ERP, Fieldwire, or Bluebeam.

Compensation & Benefits

• $65,000 - $72,000+ per year, reflecting experience and proven purchasing expertise.
