CAD Drafter
Professional CAD Drafter Pay: $25-35/hr Location: Tulsa, OK Our Engineering Department is urgently seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter with direct experience in Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, or similar fabricated equipment. This role supports shop fabrication by producing accurate, code-compliant 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- Hands-on CAD drafting experience with Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers Required
- Ability to create shop-ready fabrication drawings
- Strong knowledge of ASME Code and TEMA Standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D mechanical drafting
- Experience supporting manufacturing or fabrication shop environments
ROLE SUMMARY
- Create detailed 2D fabrication drawings for shell & tube heat exchangers
- Complete Code Data Reports for each exchanger
- Perform basic design of select non-code components
- Finalize tube layouts including tie rods, seal bars, and dummy tubes
- Ensure drawings comply with ASME Code, TEMA Standards, and customer specifications
- Support shop personnel by resolving drawing-related questions
- Occasionally enter fabrication areas to support production needs
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma required
- Technical or trade school drafting training strongly preferred
- Some college coursework in CAD, math, or engineering is beneficial but not required
