Position Summary:

The Materials Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of materials throughout the facility. This role ensures that production materials are efficiently received, stored, and delivered to support continuous manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory control, materials planning, and logistics within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to support production schedules.
• Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely delivery and usage of materials.
• Monitor material usage and report discrepancies or shortages.
• Prepare shipping and receiving documentation; work closely with suppliers and carriers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Analyze material requirements and generate purchase requisitions as needed.
• Assist in implementing lean material flow and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all material handling activities.
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts; reconcile inventory variances.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in English and Korean
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in materials or inventory control, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of automotive industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001).
• Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma practices.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
