Process Engineer

Process EngineerDesign and implementation of process equipment strategies, coordinating process activities with other discipline engineers within the company. Need to possess an understanding of mass balances, fluid transfer and energy balance, as well as, problem analysis. Candidate should be a professional, self-motivated, and energetic individual with excellent communication and inter-personal skills.Essential FunctionsDevelop process design basis and select unit operationsPrepare process flow and piping and instrumentation diagramsPrepare mass and energy balancesSize and specify process and process utility equipmentEquipment procurement and bid evaluationAssist project management with the development of project scope, budget and schedule for all process related workHelp coordinate the schedules and work of contractors for process equipment installationOversee process and utility equipment installationsStart-up and CommissioningRequired Education, Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.Proficiency in MS Office suite. AutoCAD experience is a plus.Strong technical and writing skillsThree (3) plus years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting or working as a consulting process engineer is preferredSpanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus, but not requiredTravel RequirementsTravel requirements are project specific and variable but typically average 10-30%.Compensation includes base salary plus eligibility for performance bonus, profit share, 401(k) employer contribution, health/dental/disability/life benefits, flexible spending account(s) and paid time off.
