Position: Assistant Girls Soccer Coach

Location: Lander Valley High School

Salary: $5,220

Job Description

• Establishes a winning philosophy that promotes positive life skills and sportsmanship;
• Teaches soccer fundamentals;
• Makes decisions based on the best interest of the athletes and program;
• Maintains a positive relationship with athletes, parents, and other staff;
• Supervises student athletes during travel and home games;
• Assists in maintaining equipment inventory;
• Models good sportsmanship;
• Teaches and upholds school and WHSAA rules & regulations;
• Coordinates closely with the Head Coach and Activities Director on all aspects of the athletic program.

Required Qualifications

• PTSB coaching certification/permit as an assistant soccer coach;
• Soccer coaching experience;
• Ability to establish a positive relationship with athletes, parents, and other staff;
• Ability to help direct the program; and
• Ability to attend all practices and games.

Certification: In order to qualify for a coaching position, a person must hold their coaching permit or a teaching certificate with a coaching endorsement specific to their area of coaching - issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board prior to the start date specified above.
