Bioinformatics Patent Attorney

A law firm seeks a USPTO-registered Patent Attorney with expertise in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, based in Houston, TX. This role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work arrangements. Duties Conduct patent prosecution in the fields of bioinformatics and computational biology. Collaborate with clients to develop patent strategies. Draft and review patent applications and related documents. Provide counsel on intellectual property matters. Requirements Minimum of three years of patent prosecution experience. High level of familiarity with software and biological fields. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with proficiency in technical writing. Admission or qualification for admission to the state bar of the primary office location. Education Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant field preferred. Certifications USPTO registration required. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent organizational skills.
