Locums - Portsmouth, Ohio CRNA Opportunity Clinical Role Join a well-established anesthesia team at a busy medical center providing a diverse case mix in a collaborative practice environment. This is an excellent ongoing locums opportunity for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists seeking weekday coverage with limited call responsibilities. Assignment Details Start Date: Week of June 29 - July 3 Providers Needed: 5 CRNAs Ongoing coverage opportunity Position Highlights Ongoing locums assignment Well-established anesthesia department Diverse surgical case mix Collaborative practice with anesthesiologist support Opportunity for regular weekday schedule with limited call Schedule & Coverage Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Call schedule to be determined Possible one weekday call per week Weekend call rotation: 1:7 Clinical Details & Responsibilities Setting: Hospital-based surgical services Responsibilities Include: Administer anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical procedures Perform preoperative patient assessments Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and recovery Provide OB anesthesia, including epidurals and spinal anesthesia Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff Case Types: General Anesthesia Thoracic Surgery Vascular Surgery Obstetrics/Maternity OB call Epidurals Spinal anesthesia Anesthesiologist supervision for C-sections ENT Ophthalmology Orthopedics Pediatrics (primarily ENT cases) Urology Occasional assistance with cardiac procedures (anesthesiologist serves as primary provider) Support & Technology Staffing Model: 8 Anesthesiologists 18 CRNAs EMR: Meditech Surgical Information Systems Requirements NBCRNA Certification - Required Active Ohio license or Compact License - Required ACLS certification - Required BLS certification - Required PALS certification - Required Organization & Team Large, experienced anesthesia department Collaborative physician and CRNA practice model Broad surgical specialties with consistent case volume Supportive clinical environment with ongoing staffing needs About Portsmouth, Ohio Location & Access: Situated along the Ohio River in southern Ohio, Portsmouth offers convenient access to Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
