Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Designer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Designer III to lead and support complex design and drafting efforts for plant, pipeline, and facility construction projects. This role ensures project deliverables meet company and industry standards while driving efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Lead project design and drafting activities in compliance with company and industry standards Assign electrical equipment, instrumentation tags, conduit, and cable numbering Resolve drawing development issues and update record drawings Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and facility plot plans Develop and maintain equipment and instrument lists Assist in defining Project, Engineering, and Construction Scopes of Work Attend project meetings to gather requirements and provide technical input Support development of work schedules and man-hour estimates Coordinate distribution of design packages to stakeholders Perform design and drafting for active and potential projects Communicate with vendors for material pricing and availability Perform material take-offs and develop parts lists Create material data sheets and generate material requisitions Maintain technical documentation and project correspondence Contribute to company standard drawing development and updates Support continuous improvement of design processes and procedures Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and inspectors Provide guidance to CADD operators and junior team members Travel to project or facility sites as required Proven experience in industrial, plant, or pipeline environments Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CADD software Expertise in PFD and P&ID development Experience with equipment tagging, conduit, and cable numbering systems Ability to perform material take-offs, requisitions, and technical documentation Strong knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards Excellent communication and coordination skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Willingness and ability to travel as needed Apply now to join a team delivering critical engineering design solutions across high-impact infrastructure projects. #J-18808-Ljbffr ICON Consultants, LP
